Terms of Service

1. The service

BiasBattle lets you play and create ideal-type world cup tournaments. Playing requires no account. Creating tournaments requires a free account. By creating an account or using the site, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

2. Your content, your responsibility

When you create a tournament, you are the publisher of everything in it: the title, descriptions, entry names, uploaded images, and the videos you choose to embed. You are solely responsible for making sure you have the right to use that content and that it complies with these terms and applicable law.

By uploading content you grant BiasBattle a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, display, and distribute it as part of operating the service (including thumbnails and share previews). You can delete your tournaments at any time, which ends this license for future use.

3. Prohibited content

The following is not allowed anywhere on the site:

• Sexually explicit or pornographic content of any kind, and any sexualized depiction of minors (zero tolerance — reported to authorities where required)
• Deepfakes or manipulated media of real people, and content that harasses, defames, or degrades real people (including “worst / ugliest”-style tournaments targeting individuals)
• Content you don't have rights to — including fan-taken (“fansite”) watermarked photos and other copyrighted images uploaded without permission
• Hate speech, threats, or content that promotes violence
• Spam, scams, advertising, or link farming

4. Copyright complaints and takedowns

If you believe content on BiasBattle infringes your copyright, email biasbattle.official@gmail.com with: (a) the URL of the content, (b) identification of the copyrighted work, (c) your contact information, and (d) a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized. We review takedown requests promptly and remove infringing content.

5. Repeat infringer policy

Accounts that repeatedly upload infringing or prohibited content will be permanently suspended. We track violations per account; three confirmed violations result in termination, and severe violations (such as sexual content involving minors) result in immediate termination on the first offense.

6. Moderation

We may remove content, restrict visibility, withhold ads from, or suspend accounts related to any content that we reasonably believe violates these terms — with or without prior notice. Automated filters may block or hold content for review before it is published.

7. Accounts

You are responsible for your account credentials. We collect only an email address, a nickname, and a password. There is no automated password reset — if you lose access, contact biasbattle.official@gmail.com. We may remove accounts that are inactive, impersonate others, or were created to evade a suspension.

8. Disclaimer

The service is provided “as is” without warranties. Embedded videos remain the property of their owners and are served by YouTube under YouTube's own terms. To the maximum extent permitted by law, BiasBattle is not liable for user-created content or for any indirect damages arising from use of the service.

9. Changes

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
