About this ranking
The second-generation ranking is really a vote on which memories are shared most widely. Gee, Sorry Sorry and Fantastic Baby were inescapable in Korea, so they start with an advantage. The songs to watch are the ones that were huge for one fandom, like INFINITE's The Chaser, and whether they can climb on fan votes alone.
Matchups to watch
Gee vs Tell Me
The two hook songs that started K-pop's girl-group boom. Girls' Generation against Wonder Girls, SM against JYP.
Haru Haru vs Fantastic Baby
BIGBANG's heartbreak ballad against BIGBANG's global party anthem. One group, two completely different legacies.
Mirotic vs Ring Ding Dong
TVXQ!'s sleek, controversial classic against SHINee's gloriously weird one. SM's two boy-group peaks of the era.
How this ranking works
- Championship is the share of completed tournaments an entry won. It rewards songs that survive whole brackets.
- 1:1 win rate is the share of individual matches an entry won, including Quick Battle and Today's Battle votes. It rewards songs that beat whatever they are drawn against, even if they rarely take the crown.
- Stats are recomputed every hour from real votes only. Nothing is seeded or weighted.
