About this ranking

Debut songs are judged twice here, once as songs and once as memories. Into the New World and No More Dream carry the weight of what came after, while recent debuts like Attention and Magnetic are voted on as pure songs. Watch which kind of nostalgia wins.

Matchups to watch

  • Into the New World vs No More Dream

Two debuts that became anthems far beyond their fandoms. A song about hope against a song about refusing to settle.

  • Like OOH-AHH vs Black Mamba

TWICE's cheerful first step against aespa's metaverse launch. Five years apart, completely different ideas of a girl group debut.

  • Replay vs District 9

SHINee's polished 2008 introduction against Stray Kids' self-produced 2018 arrival. Both groups sounded fully formed from day one.

How this ranking works

  • Championship is the share of completed tournaments an entry won. It rewards songs that survive whole brackets.
  • 1:1 win rate is the share of individual matches an entry won, including Quick Battle and Today's Battle votes. It rewards songs that beat whatever they are drawn against, even if they rarely take the crown.
  • Stats are recomputed every hour from real votes only. Nothing is seeded or weighted.
